GUESS WHICH GAME I FINALLY GOT HOLD OF TODAY.
PROFESSOR LAYTON.
WOW, GOOD GUESS, YOU'RE AWESOME AT THIS.
WHY THANK YOU, I STUDIED 'GUESSING AND BEING AWESOME' AT UNI. I GOT AN A.
OH YES, I CAN TELL.
...okay, enough of me talking to myself.
Being one of the few people in the UK clever (read: mental) enough to get Curious Village on import makes me feel sthuper fantastic.
A lot of people on UK game forums are still baaawing about when it's going to be released, hahaha. Tough shit, silly bollocks, because I already got it.
YEAH, WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW? >:33333
Though I'm only 3 puzzles in right now. I got about that far and went "Right, that's enough. Need to look for gay of it now.", which wasn't all that difficult considering I already have a couple of folders of blatant LaytonxLuke child pornography (olol) but eh, I fancied something to read for a change.
LEGAL!LUKE IS A WHORE. Fact.
I was going to make a journal about my Blackpool weekend but can't be arsed now.
Will do later, if only to pass on the myth of FruitShoot!VinDiesel and other buggers.
Oh god, look at Hugh Laurie in my mood theme. Look at how sweet he used to be. Baaaw ;-;

Maybe fantasy writers should just call people 'Bob' rather than make names up.

Remember Orcs, by Stan Nicholls, the book I posted about a while ago because it used a unicorn horn in a whole new fascinating and WRONG WRONG WRONG way?
Today, I have something else from Orcs I want to ramble about. Don't worry, this time it's cut for length, not because it involves sex toys.
The problem I have with Orcs is the names of the characters. The thing with fantasy is that you can get away with a LOT when it comes to naming your characters, but just like everything else in your fantasy world, it still has to make sense within the world itself. It's the whole point of fantasy, to create something fantastic that still makes enough sense. So, names are a part of that. And I'm not saying that everyone needs to be like Tolkien and spend a decade working out all the languages, but it'd be nice if authors at least THOUGHT about the language their characters use, so that the names make sense within the culture of the character. I mean, you don't expect the name 'Astrid' to belong to a Japanese woman, because the Japanese language doesn't really do the whole 'consonant followed by another consonant' thing. There has to be some sort of system when you're naming your characters who all have the same language/culture.
( Stan Nicholls kinda fails at this )

Right, Stew has a friend here again - the big girl's blouse - so I'm confined to the kitchen and the bedroom... *tries not to laugh at stereotype*... What I propose is another anonymous meme (shut up I like them) of which the subject is this:
What moment of your life would you change if you could? None of this 'I don't regret anything it's all a learning experience' but one thing that bugs you, that you wish you'd done differently. Also, what sexual thing do you want to do that you haven't... and who with? Lastly, tell me honestly something either about me or relating to me that you wish you could tell me non-anonymously... obviously you can do it anonymously. You can answer all, just one, or whatever you want... go!

Whilst watching The Song Remains The Same, my sister came up with, what I think is, comedy gold.
Grant: Do I look like a fat sack of shit?
Bonham: No, not much.
Well, actually, it was some guy outside the car he was in she said would say it but I thought it would be better if Bonzo said it, what with my addiciton to the little dragon.
And while we're on the subject of that, what the fuck is the deal with it? And of course we knew that Robbie's fantasy sequence would have a naked woman...and some kind of mushroom-okay, we didn't guess that but you get the idea.
OFF TOPIC:
I am sick.
Comment with your love to make me feel better.
